Reservations for lodging should be made directly by attendee. Ask for the rate specifically and mention the Group Code. Hotel reservations must be received before the Hotel due date in order to get special rates. Other hotels may be more expensive because the rooms for the short courses are booked over a year in advance. The special rate and Group Code and Hotel due date for each course are listed under Accomodations on the course's brochure and description web page: Aqua | Pet Food | Snack | TVP. If the Hotel is unavailable, please contact the Short Course Coordinator at shortcourse@tamu.edu for assistance. A list of other hotels in the Bryan/College Station area can be found here.

If you are arriving at Easterwood Airport (College Station) the Hilton Hotel will have a courtesy van that will take you to the hotel (693-7500).
There will be a bus at the Hilton Hotel to pick up short course participants every morning at 7:40 A.M. Monday thru Friday which will take the participants to and from lectures and social functions. There is little parking available on the campus of Texas A&M University so we strongly advise that you do not park on campus.

What is the Dress Code?
Dress will be casual. Wear something comfortable. There will be demonstrations in the afternoon Monday through Thursday.
Does the course begin on Sunday?
All of the activities on Sunday are optional. However, we strongly encourage attendance on Sunday for multiple reasons. Registering on Sunday will save time Monday morning and reduce any delays from Monday morning's registrations. The announcements on Sunday explain how the course works, including what to do if you miss the bus in the morning. Coming to the Sunday activities also allows everyone to meet and socialize and before the course begins; often those who come to Sunday's activities are more comfortable Monday morning.
What time does the course officially finish?
All of the Extrusion Short Courses finish on Friday with the last lecture ending before noon; for exact times, check the description web page (Aqua | Pet Food | Snack | TVP). However, during the Aquaculture Short Course, there is an optional tour of the Texas A&M University Aquacultural Research and Teaching Facility by Dr. Delbert Gatlin. The Bus will pick up participants at 1:30 P.M. at the Hilton Hotel and then return them back to the hotel by 3:00 P.M.
